sewing course "Children"

We teach the children how to use the sewing machine. They learn to recognize different types of fabric, find the thread path and sew according to instructions. They work independently on their own projects and improve their skills. We support them in the implementation and planning of the projects. We start with simple projects made of cotton. You don't need to bring anything to the first course except the machine.

Please only buy your child a new sewing machine after consulting us. There are a few things that you should pay particular attention to when it comes to children. In principle, it is also possible to borrow machines from us (please let us know in advance) or bring your own machines.

The children learn how to use patterns from books or digital patterns. It doesn't matter when the children start, we have both beginners and advanced students in our courses and, because the class size is small, we can respond to the needs of each child.

The courses are suitable for your child as soon as he or she can concentrate on one task for 2-3 hours at a time. Your child should be able to handle the machine conscientiously. We therefore recommend an age of 8/10 years and above. In exceptional cases, and especially in the case of siblings, we are happy to discuss the admission of younger children.
